People who most impacted my life.

Bare with me while I try to gather my thoughts and try to organize my Blog. This blog is of people that impacted my life and made me the person I am today. I'm not a professional writer but I will write from the heart and keep it transparent.. With time I'm hoping to become better and more organized with my writing. If at anytime you all have questions please don't be shy, ask away. No question will ever be a dumb one. Who knows it might be another blog I can write on. There is a reason why I'm going this route with my blogging. With that being said, "Lets get started".

This is my Mama. (My grandma) I put her first because she was the most important person in my life. She was my best friend, my mama and my protector all together. She would have given her life for me. This beautiful soul was the most amazing person anybody could have ever met. She was caring, giving and the best listener. I could tell her anything and know that my secrets were kept safe with her. My mama was the one who raised me when my Mom couldn't be there at times. Mama supported me in anything I wanted to do. She was my number one fan. I'm so glad that she was able to walk me down the aisle alongside my Mom when I got married. I'm extremely grateful unto God that he gave her time to be here on earth to be able to see three of four of my daughters being born. She always had my back until her very last breathe. You will read about her quite a bit in my blogs for a while.

My second most important person in my life is my Mom. Mom and I have been through so much together growing up. It was't always easy to have a relationship with her. What I can say now is, she is my best friend. It has taken many years to get to where we are now and wouldn't change our Journey. She is the best Mom and Grandma God could have given me. I thank God for letting him play out our lives the way it did for me and my Mom. There is a reason for everything and I'm glad to have her in my life. What couldn't break us just made us stronger. You will hear a lot about her as well. I don't want to give to much away. So, stay tuned for another blog to come with my Mom.

This is my Dad, the one who picked up when my father was absent. This man gave me lots of his time when he didn't need to. He was the one that was there for many of my hospital stays and doctor appointments up til I was the age 11. Then we drifted apart for unforeseen reasons that were out of my control and his. We reunited again, when I was 22, and we been unseperatable ever since. I'm not going to give it all out there because again, this is for another time. But, I will say, I love this man and I thank God for him. He has been the best Dad and Grandpa I could have ever asked for. When I was another man trash I was his Treasure.

This is my Aunt Dora and her boys, which I call my Uncles, the Cortez boys, Juan, Nuni, Fern, Roman, Roy and Rudy. (My cousins) My aunt Dora is an amazing woman that has lots of love to give. She is exactly like my Mama (grandma). She was the one that I stayed with for the longest time when I was in Galveston getting my Surgeries and appointments. She also helped my Mama with me when she needed help. This lady is a Gem. I will forever be grateful for her. She was there for me when I needed her the most when I lost my Mama. For years she would do what my mama would do for me, its like she picked up where my Mama left off until she knew I was ok. Her boys will always have a special place in my heart. These boys or should I say men, saw everything I went through. They never left me out in anything they did while living with them. They didn't care how I looked, they always were happy being with me. I have so many fond memories of them. I never had to guess what their feelings were towards me because their actions spoke louder than words.

My Uncle Vali and Aunt Oralia, they were the most special people you would ever meet. My uncle was the best. I remember him always telling me I was his favorite and I believed him. He is the one who put a name on me. That's how I got my name Yvonne. My uncle and aunt were part of my life growing up as well. We would often stay with them as well. They also got to see everything I went through. I never had to worry about anything when I was with them. If I needed anything they were always there and never would they say No. Remember, he was the one who bought me my first pair of Nikes when my Mama and Mom said NO. I was blessed to have them in my life.

I saved this special couple for last. They are my Uncle Zeke and Aunt Isabel (aka Chief) I choke up because they will never know exactly how special they are both to me. They saw the whole thing play out as the years went by. If it wasn't for them, not sure where I would be today. They play an important role still today in my life. When my Dad couldn't be around my Uncle was the one who picked up the pieces for a while. He would be the one at my school field trips or help me with my school projects. I felt like I was like one of his daughters for the longest time. I remember going to the fire station where he would work and being so excited to see him when he would come out of the doors to come say Hi. My uncle was my life saver and my protector. My Aunt Isabel will always be the person I run to when I need counsel. She is the reason why I believe in God and why my faith is as strong as it is. She led me to the Lord. She was and is always will be in my corner cheering me on. She also molded me into the person that believes in herself and that I could do anything I put my mind to. She would tell me the sky had no limits for me. She encouraged me to get out there and try. If it wasn't for her, I don't think I would have excelled in school. I won't say too much in this matter because there will be a blog about this journey and what I went through. One thing she always tells me, "I love you very much but Jesus loves you more", that will forever stay with me. They are the solid Rocks in this family.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

I will leave with this, I believe God put me on this earth for a purpose and that is to share my Testimony how I'm his living proof and when you read My Journey, that you will be inspired to never give up in anything you are struggling with. God knows I have struggled, and I'm glad I'm still pushing through. Don't ever give up on yourself.
